This mobile application doesn't currently have standard componentization, and it generates many difficulties for the entire team and not just for the design team. Then, I suggested in the sprint retrospective a story with the component standardization as finality, starting for the Button component.
I applied the Double Diamond in the plan to achieve with the Immersion data to help us in the fundamentation to bring the genuine needs of the project, because, currently, the use of the Design System CAIXA is not an option because of some business decisions.
At first, I tried to explore the context to understand the reasons that take to the nonstandard component existences, and for that, I had interviews with the dev team, with the product designer responsible for the DS CAIXA and other stakeholders to get some qualitative information about the difficulties and about their point of view. In addition, I did a survey of the old Figma files and also in the application that is active in APP stores.

After that, I presented the insights of the CSD (Certainties, Assumptions and Questions) Matrix and the redefined problem using the How Might We. What was decisive for us to be able to move on to the next step, the second diamond, with Ideation on the “How Might We create and implement the Cartões CAIXA App Style Guide so that the entire Development Team obtains consistency in the application of components with a noticeable and applicable configuration, both for the User and for the Dev Team, and also, optimize time and effort in the deliveries”.
The presented solution based on the convergence between the component used predominance, the DS CAIXA existence and the mapped problems, confronted the Immersion results, causing an unexpected answer from the POs, they decided review the last decision that they wouldn’t use the Design System CAIXA in this mobile product.

The result of this work in progress is that we have the opportunity to explore a possible APP adaptation and actualization forward the standardization and maybe putting up this product between the CAIXA portfolio in a better fit with the Design System.
